Nothing in this Policy limits any mandatory consumer rights available under Romanian or European Union law.
1. 14-Day Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
If you are purchasing as a consumer, you generally have the legal right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason within 14 days of taking physical possession of the goods, either personally or through a third party you have designated (other than the carrier).
Where several goods ordered in a single order are delivered separately, the withdrawal period is calculated in accordance with applicable consumer law.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform BST Aviation Tools of your decision by means of a clear statement before the withdrawal period expires.
Return and withdrawal requests are handled exclusively by email and are not available as a self-service option through your customer account. Please send your request to:

We will acknowledge receipt of your withdrawal notice without undue delay, using the contact details you provided.
2. Returning the Goods
After notifying us of your decision to withdraw, you must send the goods back without undue delay, and in any event no later than 14 days from the date on which you communicated your decision to withdraw, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

3. Return Shipping Costs
For a standard withdrawal because you have changed your mind, the direct cost of returning the goods is borne by the customer, unless BST Aviation Tools has expressly agreed otherwise or applicable law requires us to bear that cost.
We strongly recommend using a tracked, adequately insured shipping service, particularly for high-value tools.
Customers are responsible for packaging returned goods appropriately to prevent damage during return transport.
This section does not apply in the same way to defective, non-conforming or incorrectly supplied goods, which are instead covered by mandatory consumer-law remedies.
4. Inspection and Handling of Products
Consumers may inspect and handle a product only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning — comparable to what would reasonably be permitted when examining a product in a physical shop.
The statutory right of withdrawal is not a right to use a product free of charge for 14 days.
5. Professional Tools, Use and Diminished Value
BST Aviation Tools supplies professional tools and equipment, including pneumatic tools, cutting tools, drilling tools, riveting tools and other products that may show measurable signs of use once operated in a real working environment.
If a product has been handled or used beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, the customer may be liable for any resulting diminished value, as permitted by applicable law.
Examples of handling or use that may result in diminished value include, where applicable:
- using a tool to carry out actual aircraft maintenance, repair, installation, manufacturing or production work
- operating the product for longer than reasonably necessary for inspection
- operating pneumatic tools in a manner that produces identifiable operational wear
- cutting, drilling, grinding, riveting, countersinking, deburring or otherwise processing material with the product beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its characteristics and functioning
- visible wear, scratches, impact marks or other signs of operational use
- contamination with oil, grease, metal particles, dust, sealants, chemicals or other workshop substances
- modification, permanent marking, engraving, alteration or disassembly beyond what is reasonably necessary for inspection
- damage caused by incorrect installation, improper operation or use contrary to the applicable instructions
- missing components, accessories or parts originally supplied with the product
Where permitted by applicable law, any reimbursement may reflect the objectively established diminished value resulting from handling beyond what was necessary to inspect the product.
BST Aviation Tools assesses returned goods reasonably and on a case-by-case basis.
The existence of diminished value does not, by itself, cancel a consumer's statutory right of withdrawal.
6. Condition of Returned Products
Customers should return products with all components and accessories originally supplied and, where reasonably possible, with their original packaging, manuals and documentation.
Products should be securely packaged to prevent damage during return transport.
Original product packaging should not be used as the external shipping container where doing so could unnecessarily damage that packaging.
Missing accessories or components, or damage attributable to handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the product, may be taken into account when assessing diminished value, where permitted by law.
7. Customised and Personalised Products
The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply where an exception provided by applicable law applies.
This may include goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised goods.
Products specifically manufactured, permanently modified or clearly personalised for a customer — including products permanently engraved with customer-specific information, where the applicable legal requirements are met — may therefore be excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal.
This exclusion does not affect rights relating to defective or non-conforming products.
8. Refunds Following Withdrawal
Reimbursement will be made without undue delay and, in any event, no later than 14 days from the day BST Aviation Tools is informed of the customer's decision to withdraw.
For consumer withdrawals, reimbursement will generally include the price paid for the goods and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the original order, where required by law.
Additional delivery costs resulting from the customer's choice of a more expensive delivery method than the least expensive standard option we offer are not required to be reimbursed, to the extent permitted by law.
BST Aviation Tools may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods, or until the customer provides evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first, where permitted by applicable law.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise expressly agreed and legally permitted.
9. Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Products
The statutory right of withdrawal is separate from your rights concerning defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise non-conforming goods.
If you believe a product is defective or does not conform to the contract, please contact:

- a clear description of the problem
- photographs or video, where reasonably useful for diagnosing the issue
- any other information reasonably necessary to assess the claim
Where a product is legally non-conforming, the remedies and associated costs will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.
10. Damage Caused by Misuse
Statutory remedies for defective or non-conforming products do not cover problems caused solely by misuse, abuse, accidents, improper maintenance, unauthorised modification, improper installation, use outside the product's intended specifications, or normal wear and tear, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This does not limit any rights relating to defects or lack of conformity for which BST Aviation Tools is legally responsible.
11. Business Customers
The statutory consumer right of withdrawal described above applies to consumers and does not automatically extend to companies, legal entities or persons acting for purposes relating to their trade, business, craft or profession.
Returns by business customers that do not involve defective or non-conforming goods may therefore be accepted only with the prior written agreement of BST Aviation Tools, and subject to conditions agreed between the parties.
Any mandatory rights applicable to business customers remain unaffected.
12. Return Packaging and Responsibility
Returned products must be appropriately packaged for transport.
Customers should use packaging that offers protection appropriate to the weight, dimensions, value and nature of the product.
BST Aviation Tools is not responsible for damage caused solely by inadequate return packaging or other circumstances attributable to the customer, subject to applicable law.
